Over the years I've often found it interesting that a paranormal investigator will normally find a case that is relevant to their branch of the paranormal i.e. a ufologist will normally find UFOs or a ghost hunter will normally find ghosts.

I would have thought that someone investigating, say, an abduction experience would at least sometimes discover an apparition instead of little green men wandering down someone's corridor.

Do you think it's down to interpretation of the data, that these phenomena are somehow attracted to their "type" of people, an unconscious bias towards the investigator's area of interest or something else?

I've not got my head around editing the headers yet!

They appear changed on the board but in the main forum page they stay all wrong.

I'm not quite sure that investigating UFO's would follow the same process as investigating a paranormal event.

Probably the closest process to UFO investigation would be the investigation of an alleged Poltergeist case.

That's what I'm thinking though, if you can get ghost buses, coaches and trains then why not planes?

Some pictures of UFOs don't look solid, so it could be aerial ghost activity as well as other possible explanations.

Agree, you have to explore every scenario.

Likewise, you have to deal with probability - if it looks like a plane, sounds like a plane and flies like a plane then it is a plane (as oposed to the phantom variety).
